Trek the gorillas in Uganda after a brief experience of neighbour Rwanda where you would land. Depending on arrival time, consider the option to vist he genocide museum or take a brief city tour enroute to Uganda. This gorilla experience applies to either Bwindi Impenereble National Park or Mgahinga Gorrila National Park  both found in Uganda with Mgahinga shared between Congo, Rwanda and Uganda. It is advised to book this tour at least 3 months in advance considering the high demand of gorilla permits over the most resent months.

Day 1: Welcome to Rwanda, Bwindi
Meet and greet - our driver/guide will be at Kigali Airport to pick you up from your flight. Transfer by road through the clean streets of this small and hilly East Afrian state to Katuna on the Rwanda - Uganda boarder. After clearing up with the authorities, proceed to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park / Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda. The difference in communities is evident rightaway as you move from one geographic location to the other not to mention the steady chnage in landscape.

Arrive at your overnight lodge situated on the periphery of the impenetrable forest. The stunning views truly make good of a “gorilla in the mist” experience.

Day 2: Bwindi
Today is the big day… prepare yourself for an encounter with one of world’s gentle giants: the endangered mountain gorilla. For most people this is the absolute highlight of their tour to the region; depending on their movement due to best feeding area and other factors, this may take anything between 3 to 8 hours. Once the gorillas have been located, your group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them... Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a truly humbling and emotional experience. This is a fantastic and privileged opportunity to get up close and personal with Uganda’s very own ‘Gorillas in the Mist’.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest boasts both mountain gorillas and chimpanzees - the only forest in Africa which can make this claim. It also hosts five other species of primate, 113 species of mammal, over 200 butterflies and 360 birds.

Day 3: to Kigali
Depart Bwindi after breakfast driving to Kigali to arrive in the early afternoon hours. Depending on time of your scheduled return flight home, take the opportunity to vist Rwanda’s craft markets and/or the genocide museum. Make use of your haggling skills, activities and purchases in Kigali are at client’s cost.
